I believe counseling can serve as a collaboration towards positive change. The areas that I have the most experience in are addiction, trauma, depression, suicidality, anxiety, and adjustment difficulties. Primarily I have worked with teens and adults who are working towards personal autonomy and positive change. I value getting to address challenges that are commonly associated with trauma, anxiety, depression and substance use. I utilize evidence-based practices, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and EMDR, in a coalition with integrative techniques, like animal-assisted therapy, to aid in sustainable treatment outcomes.
In the last couple of years, I have worked in collegiate and community-based environments aiding individuals in formulating effective coping skills, and it is my goal to continue to foster this process.
In my own history, I have had the wonderful opportunity to sit on the receiving end of the counseling and recovery process. Now as a professional I desire to give back. Whether it’s working with a couple or an individual, it is my hope to help navigate the myriad of challenges that people share in the course of their journeys.

Licensed Professional Counselor,

Primarily my work focuses on children, adolescents, parents, and families. In my 10+ years of experience I have worked with at-risk youth, individuals with development disabilities, those who have experienced trauma, and families desiring to develop a deeper attachment. Individual goals range from coping strategies for anxiety/depression, trauma treatment, attachment parenting, and increasing self-esteem.
My work began in 2005 working with individuals with developmental disabilities in Community Mental Health. Since 2009 I have focused at-risk children, youth, families. My training includes Attachment: Circle of Security Informed Therapy, EMDR, Animal Assisted Therapy, work with LGBT populations, and Residency Supervisor.
In my own life, I’ve experienced support through the therapeutic process. I desire to offer insight, kindness, and needed skills to children, adolescents and families who are struggling with their own experiences. My passion lies in helping children and families learn to form healthy and secure relationships.
